In 2012, I decided to give yoga a try. As a competitive swimmer growing up, I was never terribly flexible and often got injured. Yoga was challenging at first (and it quite honestly still is!), but there really is something incredible about taking 1 hour a day entirely for yourself
Director of Global Accounts
The stress reliever.
Jessica’s flourishing career launched when she moved to Chicago in 2011 from Southern California. She joined NHS Global Events after gaining insightful experience in hospitality at both a destination management company and a world-wide transportation company. Jessica has been highly involved in the meetings and events industry through her volunteerism with Meeting Professionals International (serving time as chair and on the board with the Chicago Area Chapter) as well as the Professional Convention Management Association, where she is currently sitting on the BOD of the Southwest and Pacific Chapter.
Jessica is an excellent listener, an attribute that has gained her respect both professionally and personally. By genuinely listening to clients’ concerns, needs, goals and aspirations, she proves herself to be a trustworthy resource, doing all she can do alleviate their planning-related stress. Her at-work passions include budgeting, process improvement, and once-in-a-lifetime experience design.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys yoga, cooking, hiking, and of course, traveling to and exploring new destinations.
What's your favorite past-time?
Do you have a pet?
Mischief (aka Missy) – a sweet 9-year-old black cat that is so small everyone mistakes her as a kitten, and Maya – our recently adopted husky.
Vancouver is always at the top of my list of places I recommend to my clients and friends alike. It boasts the most stunning ocean, city and mountain views all at once, a very healthy and active culture, and a clean and welcoming environment.
Why you love working in the events industry.
I find so much joy in helping clients find the perfect fit for their meetings and events. Being a resource from start to finish, and watching attendees enjoy something new and unique is an experience that I feel is unmatched.
